Just Progress: Healthy Habits

100 steps backed by science, one small health habit at a time.

Tell Just Progress what you want, and it gives you ten clear actions a day, a quick game, and two questions that reshape your next ten. That becomes your path. Over time, steps turn into habits: some fall away, new ones appear, and you adjust as you go. Keep going until all 100 are yours, on your way to better health.

A day in Just Progress · illustrated preview
  • 100 practical steps across movement, sleep, food, strength, mood, prevention and long-term health — each tied to evidence you can inspect.
  • Ten, game, two questions. That repeatable loop keeps the app moving and lets your answers shape what comes next.
  • Everything is open. The app recommends one next action, but the full path, evidence library, tools and Coach are available from day one.

Try it here

Three of its screens, working, in your browser

Explore the sounds, finish a step, and try example conversations with the Coach. Nothing you try in this demo is recorded or sent anywhere.

Most habit apps open on a wall of numbers. This one opens on the hour you are actually in: the picture behind the greeting changes five times a day, and underneath it sits one step, sized to today. Finish it and the app stops asking. That is the whole design.

Drag the slider the way you would on the phone and watch what happens after the third one. Then try a sound — every sleep sound and every meditation has a painting behind it that moves, in a day version and a night version, and the app picks by the clock. The breathing circle is the one thing in here that nobody talks over.

Pick a sound or a meditation. The picture behind it is the one the app draws, and it changes with the time of day.

How it earns its keep

It learns what fits, then changes the next ten.

This is not a water reminder wearing a progress bar. Each action teaches you something useful, shows why it matters, and gives the app a signal it can use. Your mood can resize today; your two answers after each series decide the direction of the next one.

  • One useful action now. Today stays focused instead of handing you a wall of chores.
  • The reason and evidence are attached. Open any step to see the expected benefit, limits and source instead of trusting a slogan.
  • Real alternatives. No bike, short on time, low-impact day or ready for more? The method changes without turning the day into a failure.
  • A Coach you can question. Ask why a recommendation fits, what to do instead, or what a health term means. It can be wrong, so important answers include clear limits.
  • Meditate. Spoken practices, breathing and tools for a hot moment have their own section.
  • Sounds. Background sound beds, volume and the sleep timer have a separate section.
  • Eight skill games. Every tenth completion earns a short break before the two questions that tune your next series — soccer, a field goal, hockey, volleyball, a home run, a free throw, flick fishing and a constellation to join up.
  • Enter your readings and see their trends in Report
  • No account required. Your path, notes, measurements and Coach history stay on the phone.

Everything in it

What a hundred steps comes with

One step at a time, and the next one only when it sticks

A hundred steps in ten charts of ten, ordered for the person who answered setup. A step is locked in when it has held long enough to be a habit rather than a good week — and until then it is the only thing on the screen. Twenty-seven come with a drawing of what to do, for people who would rather not read.

A coach that runs on the phone itself

Your saved records stay on your phone. Optional speech recognition may use your phone's speech service. It answers about the steps, the science behind them and the app itself, it says plainly when it does not know, and it will not interpret a lab value or tell you to stop a medicine.

Nine sounds, each behind its own painted scene

A splashing brook, ocean wind, a train ride with the wheels going over the joints, rain on the glass, summer woods, a crackling fire, a distant crowd, deep noise and a slow drone. Every one has a painting behind it that moves — the brook and the ocean run as twelve-frame animations, drops slide, the country rolls past the carriage window, firelight travels across the floor — and every painting comes in a day version and a night version, picked by the clock.

Seven guided meditations, in three voices

A hillside, the same hillside after dark, an ice cave, open water, a fire, a night train, and ten slow breaths for somebody with three minutes and a racing head. Read by a recorded voice — discreet, normal, or clear enough for a hard day of hearing. The coach can write a new one on the phone.

A one-minute game, earned every ten steps

Eight of them: a penalty, a field goal, a slapshot, a spike, a home run, a free throw, flick fishing and a constellation to join up. They are the reward for finishing ten things, they last a minute, and every one can be left with a single tap.

Reminders that only ever go downwards

One a day at most, on the days you choose — every day, weekdays, or twice a week. It never shows your health step on the lock screen, never mentions a streak or a day you missed, and stops the moment you turn it off.

Your readings, medications, and daily check-ins

Enter your own readings and see their trends in Report. Keeps your medications and supplements by name — not by brand — with what the evidence actually says about each. And ten short techniques for the times a habit app is not the point: breathing out for longer than you breathe in, tensing and releasing every muscle, naming five things in the room, parking a worry until a set time, or one flight of stairs twice. Each takes a minute or two, and none of them asks you to record anything.

The coach

WHAT THE COACH CAN DO

These are the kinds of answers it gives, in its own words. On the phone it writes them itself, offline, in a second or two. It will not read a lab value, name a condition, or tell you to change a dose or stop a medicine — it says so plainly and sends you to the person who can.
